Privacy Policy

Information we collect

Account information: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We don't offer a separate password-based signup — Google is the only sign-in method.

Video links and generated content: the video URL you submit, the transcript we fetch from YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram, and the AI-generated summaries, mind maps, diagrams, and Q&A responses produced from it.

Watch history: for signed-in users, we store which videos you've viewed (video ID, title, channel, thumbnail, and timestamps) so your history tab can show it to you.

Payment information: if you subscribe to Pro, Stripe processes your payment and we receive a customer ID and subscription ID to manage your billing status. We never see or store your full card number.

Usage analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate product usage (page views, button clicks, funnel steps). We don't send the text of questions you ask or the URLs you submit to analytics — only counts, lengths, and category labels.

How we use your information

To generate and display summaries, chapters, mind maps, diagrams, and answers for the videos you submit.

To maintain your account, enforce daily usage limits, and show your watch history.

To process payments and manage your subscription through Stripe.

To understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the product.

To communicate with you about your account or respond to support requests you send us.

Third-party processing

To produce a summary, the video's captions or transcript are sent to our AI providers (currently DeepSeek and/or Google Gemini) for processing. We don't send them your account identity — only the transcript text and the language you request.

Video metadata and captions are fetched from YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram (or a third-party captioning API) based on the link you submit. Your use of those platforms remains subject to their own terms.

Payments are handled entirely by Stripe, subject to Stripe's own privacy policy.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies: a session cookie to keep you signed in, a locale cookie to remember your language preference, and Google Analytics cookies to measure usage. We don't use cookies for third-party advertising.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your account and watch history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile and watch history are removed; deleting your account is currently handled by emailing us — self-serve deletion may be added later.

Publicly cached video summaries (title, chapters, tags) are not tied to any individual account and may remain available to other users of the site, since they help every visitor who looks up the same video.

Children's privacy

The service is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
