Terms of Service

The service

SummarizeVideoToText lets you paste a public YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram video link and receive an AI-generated summary, chapter breakdown, mind map, process diagram, and answers to follow-up questions about the video.

Some features are available without an account, subject to daily limits; signing in with Google unlocks a higher daily limit and watch history; a paid Pro subscription removes the daily limit and supports longer videos.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for videos you have the right to submit, and only in ways that comply with applicable law and with the terms of the platform the video came from (YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram).

You agree not to abuse the Service — including automated scraping of the Service itself, attempting to circumvent usage limits, or submitting content that is illegal, infringing, or harmful.

We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these Terms.

Your content and our license

You retain any rights you have in the links and questions you submit. By submitting a video link, you confirm you have the right to have it processed, and you grant us a license to fetch its transcript and generate a summary for your use (and, for publicly cacheable results, for display to other users who look up the same video).

We are a summarization tool, not a distributor of the underlying video or its transcript. If you believe content generated through the Service infringes your rights, contact us and we will investigate.

AI-generated content

Summaries, chapters, mind maps, diagrams, and answers are generated automatically by AI models and may be incomplete or contain errors. They are provided for convenience and should not be relied on as the sole source of truth about a video's content.

Subscriptions and payment

Pro subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly, as selected at checkout) and renew automatically until cancelled.

You can cancel anytime from the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we don't provide partial refunds for unused time except where required by law.

Free-tier daily limits and Pro-tier features are described on our Pricing page and may change; we'll reflect any change there rather than in these Terms.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will be accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
