Why do I have to sign in for X but not for YouTube?
YouTube gives us captions to read, so a YouTube transcript costs us almost nothing. X publishes no caption track at all, so every X video has to be transcribed from its audio by AI, and that costs compute for every minute. Tying it to a free account is how the free tier stays free.
How long a video can it handle?
